Newton Challenge 2015

Distance: 14:75km
Time: 1:02:30
Placing : 7th

Finally after months trying to get my fitness back to 100%, my body feels more refreshed during this race. At first I didn't dare to follow the lead pack and wanted to maintain my steady pace. But looks like I just followed them till half of the race. This was just after the Cyberjaya Marathon. It took me several weeks to reflect on what I eat, what training I did. Had to dissect and study every details of it.
Feeling blessed to be back in the top10 category, hoping to get back to the top 5 soon.

Cyberjaya TwinCity Marathon 2014

Distance: 22.4Km 
Time: 1:38Hrs
Where: Cyberjaya DPulze
Position: 7th

This is my second attempt for a half marathon this year, Not very fond of Half but this time I managed to like it. It took me some time to understand doing Half marathons, as you can't go too fast or too slow.
It's all about maintaining your pace. And I was very nervous as I don't want to screw this up. Well I didn't actually but got lost for 1.4km and on the 11th km a few of us were uncertain for the route as there were no Marshall's and it was too dark to see the route markers. This made me screw up my pace and inconsistency. Well .. On the 18th Km I try tp speed up a little as there were 3km to go and guess what the Marshall was sleeping and suddenly woke up and showed me the wrong way.
I realized this after heading to a dead end. I almost gave up but still thought I could still do this. So I managed to uturn and overtake 4people, and I found my friend who was leading and he got lost too for 5km (He managed to get 5th).  I saw my watch and I saw my 21km was 1:32hrs. and tried to push my pace even more.
Luckily still got into the top 10 spot. Well I must say this is an adventurous race. Lost or not I somehow proud of my timing and could do better for future Half Marathons.

PBIM 2014


This is my 2nd attempt for a FM this year. I had a better timing from my Melaka Marathon (3:33hrs )
But I don't think I prepared 100% for this one. Luckily the route was just flat. The pain was that needed pace consistency. A big event I knew I couldn't be in the the top 15 and just had to put a mind set that my goal was just my timing and not getting in the top 15.  That was the hardest mental challenge. 
To me FM recovery is much faster than an ultra. Just needed more strength and endurance training.
This coming year I will focus more on shorter / middle distance running to pickup my pace as for last year I already covered my mielage. Hope all goes well! 



 

New Balance Half Marathon 2014

Did my NB10km on 23rd nov 2014,
Didn't feel well throughout the warm up. Maybe wasn't enough recover since my PBIM FM a week before this. 
It was an easy route but still had to struggle a lot during this race, many elites were in this category.

A New Beginning

Taking time out from races and just doing some light exercises and hanging out which I love to do, catching up with old friends going to gallery's gigs and stuff. Running takes a lot of your time. And sometimes u need to ease on it either wise you'll burn out. 
Last week met some old friends of mine some which I Havnt met in 12 yrs. it's good to know that people are progressing rather than whining and just not doing anyting and just sit their ass off. 
Do as much as you can in this short span of time and contribute as you never know when you'll leave this planet. Ok, enough talking just check out some photos I posted. Thanks!

BSN Night Marathon 2014

After 2 race events, finally got into gear. But still feeling abit lagging and still need my body to recover after the Penang 50ultra. 
This Is my second attempt for the BSN night marathon. Which last year I did the Half Marathon with an appalling time of 1:47mins. But this time I came back with a better result but not my target time tho.

Penang Ultra 100 (50Km Category)

Feeling glad that I won this race, my 2nd time becoming a champion for the 50km Ultra this year.
I must say I Havnt been too prepared to this race due to not enough rest and recovery from other races but still made it this far. I really thank those who supports me and those who train with me. Every individual counts in my surrounding as I'm nobody without u guys.

Centro Klang Run 2014


Managed to finish 8th place in this race, my second time racing in Klang, expect the fastest and young athletes to be there. You want to know where you stand join this race. One of the toughest top finishers enter this race. I'm grateful to be in the top 10. Thanks to everyone who supports me during my challenge In life.

Seremban Half Marathon 2014


Last year I did this race with an Injury but still tried to finish the 21k,
As of this year I did the 10k with finishing it by 36.16mins. As always Seremban has a very good and organized race. And Im looking forward to come back for next year event hopefully doing the Half Marathon fully prepared. The turn out doesn't seem as much as there a few big races going pn elsewhere like the Kuching Full Marathon and Sepang Guacoland 12km.

NM Galaxy Bukit Jalil 18km & 10km

After a month of puasa and just easy training. This was the first of many races that began with.
On the same day was held the Ak Balloon Run and the Energinzer night run The night before this event. Must say I improved abit on my long distance running but still needed more endurance training to prepare for longer races. I'm quite satisfied with the results as I can maintain my pace and form in running and giving a little confidence to my half marathon in the coming future. Easy training enough rest and recovery is all it takes to build a stronger body.

MARDI MAEPS 18km & 12km Serdang

  Completed the 12KM Trail Run in MAEPS this morning,
  Just after 2 weeks from my Melaka FM, Still feeling abit heavy footed from the pre race but managed to gain 8th place with 1:00:05hrs in 12KM.
The roads must say not really a jungle trail but more to an Orachard trail. With lots of challenging gradients. This will be last race before Hari Raya Puasa and the next race will be in August. Need to use that short period of time to get my speed back on.
